FAITH

The Catholic faith is the foundation of Saint Peter Catholic School; however, we welcome all faiths. Students receive spiritual, personal and character development which we believe rivals academic rigor in creating a successful life. Together, our staff and students explore their faith through daily prayer, participation in weekly all-school Mass, retreats, and service projects. Our hope is that this will prepare students for the day when they will bring their gifts of faith and reason to the challenges of our world.

Religious Instruction

The Religion program forms the foundation of our school’s programs. We believe our students’ relationship with God and others, and the development of their faith life is of primary importance. Students develop Catholic identity through an understanding and internalization of Catholic doctrine and faith experiences. Finally, our faith life is not limited to a religion period, but rather, is integrated into all that we do and are as a school community.

Sacramental Life

Prayer is an integral part of everyday life at Saint Peter Catholic School. In addition to beginning the day with prayer, there is a weekly all-school Mass, opportunities to attend daily Mass and spend time in the Adoration Chapel as well. Students have opportunities for Confession, Stations of the Cross and other traditional devotions.

Saint Peter School also offers a comprehensive program of instruction in preparation for the sacraments of First Holy Communion, Reconciliation and Confirmation.

Faith and Service

Students are encouraged to put their faith into action with many opportunities for service in the local community, missions, and service projects. The school focuses on helping those in need all year, but especially during the Advent and Lent season.
